Boletin de la clase, Sra. DeHaro Vega   ¿Qué  estamos haciendo en la escuela? La semana pasada, los niños continuaron aprendiendo sobre los insectos. Aprendieron las partes del cuerpo de un insecto con una nueva canción, Partes del cuerpo de un insecto. Pueden encontrar la canción en YouTube.  También, discutimos la traducción al inglés de las palabras y los niños aprendieron que insecto, tórax y abdomen son similares en ambos idiomas. En el centro de matemáticas, los niños también clasificaron los insectos por color, características y tipos de insectos. Los niños están practicando el siguiente vocabulario en español e inglés : cabeza/head, tórax/thorax, abdomen/abdomen, patas/legs, alas/wings, ojos/eyes Recordatorios El clima: Por favor, sigan mandando su hijo/a con abrigo porque el clima cambia muy rápido y salimos al parque todos los días. 27 de marzo 2018, Habrá sustituta en el aula para las Conferencias de Padres (8:00-4;00 p.m.) 28 de marzo 2018, Salida Temprano y Conferencias de Padres: Asisten estudiantes del PM (No hay clases para estudiantes del  AM). Mrs. DeHaro Vega’s Class Newsletter   What are we doing? Last week, the children continued learning about insects.  They especially learned the body parts of an insect in Spanish with a new song Partes del cuerpo de un insecto (Body Parts of an insect). You can find the song on YouTube.  We also discussed the English translation of the words and the children learned that insect, thorax, and abdomen are similar in both languages.  At the math center, the children also made patterns with insects and sorted insects by color, characteristics, and types of insects. The children are practicing the following vocabulary in Spanish and English: cabeza/head, tórax/thorax, abdomen/abdomen, patas/legs, alas/wings, ojos/eyes Reminders The Weather: Please continue to dress your child warm. The weather changes dramatically and we do go outside every day. Fotos de la Semana/Photos of the Week Los niños y niñas del salón aprendiendo a  jugar un juego de una oruga Scaterpillar Scramble y usaron figuras para construir diferentes insectos.  Igualmente, usaron bichos de colores para ordenar. The children played Scaterpillar Scramble game and used shapes to build insects. They also used colored insects for sorting and patterning.

Aprendieron algunos de los nombres en ambos idiomas y sobre las características de los insectos. A los niños les encantó aprender una nueva canción en español, Bicho Rock, que pueden encontrar en YouTube. También, están ocupados dibujando insectos en sus diarios y escribiendo los nombres de los insectos.  En las clase, realizamos una búsqueda de insectos con binoculares y los niños pudieron encontrar e identificar diferentes insectos. They learned some names of insects in both languages and a few characteristics of insects. The children are enjoying learning a new song in Spanish called Bicho Rock, which you can find on YouTube. They are also busy drawing insects in their journals and labeling their insects. We also went on an insect search around the classroom with binoculars. La semana pasada, los niños y niñas aprendieron más sobre el proceso de reciclaje.  Aprendieron que se llevan las botellas y tapas de plástico a un centro de recolección y se aplastan, se cortan las botellas de plástico, se lavan, se derriten  y se convierten una fibra. Con esa fibra se puede hacer ropa y diferentes cosas. ¡Les facino aprender el proceso de reciclaje de los plásticos! ¡Están muy animados para reciclar más botellas y tapas de plástico! What are we doing in school? Last week, the children learned about the recycling process. They learned that plastic bottles and caps are taken to a collection center and the plastic bottles are smashed, cut, washed, melted, and converted into a type of fiber. The fiber can then be used to make clothes and different things. The students were amazed to learn about the recycling process! The children are excited and want to recycle even more plastic bottles and caps! Boletin de la clase, Sra. DeHaro Vega   ¿Qué  estamos haciendo en la escuela? La semana pasada, los niños y niñas participaron en muchas actividades divertidas de libros y lectura. Leímos nuestros libros favoritos, nos vestimos con pijamas a la escuela, nos vestimos como nuestro personaje favorito, asistimos a la feria de libros, nuestro perrito de lectura nos visitó y exploramos libros nuevos que nos compraron para nuestra clase.  Nuestra clase ganó la guerra de las monedas y pudimos comprar muchos libros nuevos para el aula. Vamos a tener una fiesta de globos esta semana para celebrar!                    ¡Gracias por comprar libros para nuestra clase y enviar muchas monedas para                                                                                comprar más libros! Mrs. DeHaro Vega’s Class Newsletter   What are we doing? Last week, the children participated in many fun book and reading activities. We read our favorite books, wore pajamas to school, dressed up as our favorite book character, went to the book fair, our K-9 reading buddy visited us, and we explored new books that were purchased for our class. Our class won the coin war and we were able to buy many new books for the classroom. We will have a balloon party this week to celebrate! Thank you for purchasing books for our class and sending coins to purchase so many  books for the classroom! The children are practicing the following vocabulary in Spanish and English: libro/book, autor/author, personaje/character, ilustrador/illustrator Reminders The Weather: Please continue to dress your child warm. Boletin de la clase, Sra. DeHaro Vega   ¿Qué  estamos haciendo en la escuela? La semana pasada, los niños aprendieron sobre el reciclaje. Aprendieron cómo separar la basura y colocarla en los contenedores de reciclaje apropiados. Están aprendiendo que el reciclaje ayuda a reducir la basura que tiramos al los vertederos.  Los niños siguen haciendo proyectos reciclados. Les han encantado hacer instrumentos y tocarlos en el centro de música. ¡Gracias a los Padres del Salón por organizar las fiestas de San Valentín! ¡A los niños les encantó su fiesta y se divirtieron mucho! Los niños están practicando el siguiente vocabulario en español e inglés : plástico/plastic, papel/paper, metal/metal, vidrio/glass,  composta/compost Recordatorios 21 de febrero - 22 de febrero 2018, Feria de libros en el gimnasio de la escuela. 21 de febrero 2018: Día de Pijama y noche de lectura para la familia. 21 de febrero 2018: Noche de lectura para la familia: 3:30-5:30. They are learning that recycling helps reduce the garbage that we throw in the landfills. The children are still making recycled art projects and they are enjoying playing with them. The children like making instruments and playing with them at the music center. Thank you to the Room Parents for organizing the Valentines Parties! The children loved their party and had so much fun! The children are practicing the following vocabulary in Spanish and English: plástico/plastic, papel/paper, metal/metal, vidrio/glass, composta/compost Reminders The Weather: Please send your child with snow pants and snow boots every day to be able to go outside.
