Enfoque de la semana …

¿Qué pasa cuando la nieve es expuesta a altas/bajas temperaturas?

Ciencias naturales: Hicimos varios experimentos para observar qué pasa cuando la nieve es expuesta a temperaturas altas o bajas.

Matemáticas: Aprendimos que el termómetro sirve para medir la temperatura. Los niños observaron cómo el mercurio subía o bajaba dependiendo de la temperatura de afuera.

Ayude a  su niño/a a...

reconocer los números seis (6) y siete (7). Busquen objetos para igualar las cantidades con cada número. Ejem., siete (7), coloque siete carritos

Encuentre en YouTube y comenten  la película con su niño/a....

• A Snowy Day

This week’s focus…

What happens when the snow is exposed to high or low temperatures?

Natural sciences: We did several experiments to observe what happens when the snow is exposed to high or low temperatures.

Mathematics: We learned that the thermometer is used to measure the temperature. The children observed how the mercury increases or decreases depending on the exterior temperature.

Help your child….

Recognize numbers six (6) and seven (7).  Look for objects to match the quantities with each number. For example, find seven cars.

Enfoque de la semana …

¿Qué es la nieve?

Ciencias naturales: Aprendimos la secuencia de la formación de los copitos de nieve: Partícula, formación del hexágono, formación de ramas (ramificación) y formación del copo nieve.

Matemáticas: Aprendimos que la base de un copo de nieve es siempre un hexágono, que tienen seis lados y seis esquinas.

Arte: Hicimos copos de nieve, poniendo como base un hexágono, y utilizando diferentes figuras y materiales.  

Ayude a  su niño/a a...

crear copitos de nieve utilizando un hexágono (seis lados y esquina) como base. Pueden utilizar ramas, cotonetes, palillos, figuras y otros materiales para formar las ramificaciones.

This week’s focus…

What is snow?

Science: We learned the sequence of the formation of the snowflakes: a particle of dust, formation of the hexagon, formation of the branches, and finally, the snowflake.

Mathematics: We learned that the base of a snowflake is always a hexagon having six sides and six corners.

Art: We made snowflakes using the hexagon for the base then adding different shapes and/or materials for the branches.

Help your child….

Make a snowflake using a hexagon as its base (six sides, six corners). Then use materials around the house to make the six branches. You can use cotton swabs, toothpicks, and/or other materials.
