Boletin de la clase, Sra. DeHaro Vega   ¿Qué  estamos haciendo en la escuela? La semana pasada, los niños aprendieron sobre el arte en papel de México. Los niños están cortando diferente figuras en el papel y haciendo Papel picado. A los niños les encanto cortar diferentes formas y ver la sorpresa al final.  El papel picado se usará para decorar el gimnasio para nuestra presentación el 26 de enero. Gracias por todos los maravillosos regalos que nos regalaron.  ¡Los estamos disfrutando durante esta fría temporada de invierno! Los niños están practicando este vocabulario en español e inglés : papel/paper, piñata/piñata, pegamento/glue, arte/art, decorar/decorate Recordatorios -6 de enero: ¡Lanzamiento de iRead! ¡Lee, lee, lee y agrega tus minutos! -La Unidad de Yoga comenzará la próxima semana para los niños. Tendrán un día extra de         gimnasio los jueves por 5 semanas solamente. -11 de enero de 2018 de 3; 30-4: 30PM. Esta clase de yoga es un evento familiar. Por favor mande   su reservación si gustan asistir. -12 de enero de 2018,  Salida temprana: los estudiantes de PM asistiran por la mañana. Mrs. DeHaro Vega’s Class Newsletter   What are we doing? Last week, the children learned about paper art from Mexico. The children made paper art called Papel picado. They have to fold tissue paper and cut different shapes and when they unfold it there is a special design!  The children enjoyed cutting different shapes and seeing the surprise at the end. The paper art will be used to decorate the gym for our class assembly on January 26th. Thank you for all the wonderful gifts we received this Holiday Season. We are enjoying them all on these very cold days! Thank you! The children are practicing the following vocabulary in Spanish and English: papel/paper, piñata/piñata, pegamento/glue, arte/art, decorar/decorate Reminders -January 6, 2018: iRead Kick Off! Read, read, read and add your minutes! -Yoga Unit will start next week for the children. Boletin de la clase, Sra. DeHaro Vega   ¿Qué  estamos haciendo en la escuela? La semana pasada, los niños compartieron con sus compañeros de dónde provienen sus familias. Nuestro mapa del mundo se está llenando y estamos viendo que todos venimos de muchos países diferentes. Los niños también disfrutaron leyendo el libro, Quienquiera que seas por Mem Fox. Aprendieron que todos podemos ser diferentes, vivir en diferentes lugares, hablar diferentes idiomas, pero todos compartimos un corazón, una sonrisa y hasta lágrimas. Los niños están practicando este vocabulario en español e inglés : mapa/map, mundo/world, México/Mexico, Mi familia es de___./My family is from___. Recordatorios 13 de diciembre: Noche de información del Programa de Lenguaje Dual para padres de familia  a las 6:30 pm en la Sala de juntas/Boardroom de la escuela Green Bay. Mrs. DeHaro Vega’s Class Newsletter   Last week, the children shared with their peers where their families come from. Our map of the world is filling up and we are seeing that we all come from many different countries. The children also enjoyed reading the book, Whoever you are by Mem Fox. They learned that we can all look different, live in different places, speak different languages, but we all share a heart, a smile, and even tears. The children are practicing the following vocabulary in Spanish and English: mapa/map, mundo/world, México/Mexico, Mi familia es de___./My family is from___. Reminders December 13th, Kindergarten Dual Language Information Night: in the Board Room at Green Bay School. Parents of incoming Kindergarteners are welcomed to join us to learn about the Dual Language program and how to apply! Boletin de la clase, Sra. DeHaro Vega   ¿Qué  estamos haciendo en la escuela? La semana pasada, los niños trabajaron mucho para hacer una comunidad con las casas que hicieron en el centro de arte. Dibujaron y pintaron un camino, autos, árboles y pasto en su comunidad. Los niños estaban muy emocionados de  agregar su casa a la comunidad de nuestro salón. Continuaremos trabajando en la comunidad y aprenderemos más sobre ella. Puede ver la comunidad que hicieron los alumnos durante las conferencias de padres y maestros. La semana pasada, leímos  el libro Los Tres Osos, que es similar al cuento de Ricitos de oro y los tres osos.  Pudieron utilizar el vocabulario que habían aprendido previamente de la unidad de las  familias. Cuando leemos libros usamos mucho gestos con las manos, movimientos, entonación y accesorios. Esto ayuda a los estudiantes a aprender el vocabulario y disfrutar aún más los cuentos. Los niños están practicando este vocabulario en español e inglés : casa/house, calle/street, comunidad/community, carro/car, yarda/yard Recordatorios Las conferencias de padres y maestros serán del 17 de noviembre al 21 de noviembre para mis alumnos. Enviaré su hora de conferencia esta semana. Por favor, avíseme si necesita cambiar el horario. No habrá escuela del 20 - 24 de noviembre.

Mrs. DeHaro Vega’s Class Newsletter   Last week, the children worked on making a community from the houses they made at the art center. They drew and painted a road, cars, trees, and grass. The children couldn’t wait to add their house to the classroom community. We will continue to grow the community and learn more about it. You can see the community the students built during Parent Teacher Conferences. The children also read the book The Three Bears, which is similar to Goldilocks and The Three Bears.  They were able to use the Spanish vocabulary they had previously learned from the Family unit. When we read books we use hand gestures, movements, intonation, and props. This helps the students learn the vocabulary and enjoy the stories even more. The children are practicing the following vocabulary in Spanish and English: casa/house, calle/street, comunidad/community, carro/car, yarda/yard Reminders Parent Teacher Conferences will be November 17 through November 21st for my students.  I will send your conference time this week. Please let me know if you need to reschedule. There will be no school from  November 20th - 24th. Boletin de la clase, Sra. DeHaro Vega   ¿Qué  estamos haciendo en la escuela? La semana pasada, los niños aprendieron que las casas se pueden hacer de diferentes materiales como de paja, de ramas, de madera y de ladrillo. Con el cuento Los Tres Cerditos pudieron aprender que la casa de ladrillo es más fuerte que la casa de paja. Les encantó el cuento y usamos títeres para contar el cuento. ¡Los niños están muy entusiasmados con el cuento hasta creamos otro final para este cuento!   Gracias a los Padres/Madres del Salón por organizar la Fiesta de Halloween para la clase de su hijo/a. ¡A los niños les encanto las golosinas saludables, los juegos, proyectos de arte, bailar y jugar!  Fue muy divertido. ¡Muchas gracias! Los niños están practicando este vocabulario en español e inglés : cuarto/room, cocina/kitchen, sala/living room, cuarto de dormir/bedroom, baño/bathroom Recordatorios ¡El otoño ya está aquí! Por favor mande a su hijo/a con abrigo, gorro, guantes y bufanda. Salimos afuera por 30 minutos todos los días, solo que este lloviendo o demasiado frío.  Por favor, escriban el nombre de su hijo/a a todas las cosas/ropa porque se pierden muy fácil en la escuela y en el autobús. Si le gustaría ser Padre/Madre del Salón por favor regístrese conmigo. Nuestra siguiente fiesta será la Presentación de la clase el viernes 26 de enero.

Mrs. DeHaro Vega’s Class Newsletter   Last week, the children learned that houses can be made from different material such as straw, branches, wood, and brick. With the story The Three Little Pigs they learned that a brick house is much stronger than a house made out of straw.  They loved the story and we used puppets to retell the story.  The children enjoyed this story and we even created a different ending. Thank you to the Room Moms and Dads for organizing and doing the Halloween parties. The children loved the healthy treats, games, crafts, dancing, and playing!  It was so much fun.  Thank you! The children are practicing the following vocabulary in Spanish and English: cuarto/room, cocina/kitchen, sala/living room, cuarto de dormir/bedroom, baño/bathroom Reminders Autumn is here! Please send your child with a coat, hat, gloves, and a scarf. We go outside for 30 minutes every day unless it's raining or extremely cold. Please label all their items! Students easily lose them in the school or on the bus. If you would like to be a Room Parent, please register with me. Our next party will be the class presentation on Friday, January 26th. Boletin de la clase, Sra. DeHaro Vega   ¿Qué  estamos haciendo en la escuela? La semana pasada, los niños siguieron construyendo sus casitas con materiales reusables. Los niños y niñas están muy emocionados con sus casitas y les están poniendo muchos detalles. Durante las conferencias de padres y maestros podrán ver los trabajos de los niños alrededor del salón de clase. La semana pasada tuvimos una visita especial de K-9 Reading Buddies. Una vez al mes vendrá un perro entrenado con su entrenadora para leer y convivir con los niños. Leímos el libro, May I pet your dog? por Stephanie Calmenson, dónde aprendieron que es muy importante pedir permiso de su dueño/a antes de tocar el perro. Igualmente, pudieron tocar a nuestro nuevo amiguito. Los niños están practicando este vocabulario en español e inglés : casa/house, apartamento/apartment, ventana/window, puerta/door, cuarto/room, cocina/kitchen Recordatorios ¡El otoño ya está aquí! Mrs. DeHaro Vega’s Class Newsletter   Last week, the children continued to build houses with reusable materials. The children are very excited and they are adding lots of details. During the parent-teacher conferences, you will be able to see the students’ work on display throughout the classroom. We also had a special visit from the K-9 Reading Buddies. Once a month a trained dog will come with his/her trainer to read and be with the children. We read the book, May I pet your dog? by Stephanie Calmenson where they learned that it is very important to ask for the owner's permission to pet their dog. They also were able to pet our new friend.
